Will You Accept the Invitation?

I’m not a New Year’s Resolution kind of girl, but I am a believer that with the new year, there comes possibility, opportunity, and newness. Maybe you and I are the same in that way. Maybe each January you, like me, grab a piece of white paper and a freshly sharpened pencil and write down your intentions for the new year. It feels so hopeful to have a plan and a path to get there.
Embrace Honesty and Vulnerability
Unfortunately, along the path called living, our best intentions can get diverted. We may be journeying along and suddenly the tides get higher, the waters deeper, and the gap between our abilities and what our circumstances require feels insurmountable.
Even in these moments, we do have options. We can try the hard way – allow fear to motivate our decisions and attempt to manage everything on our own. Or we can pause and choose the better way, which invites us into honesty with God, ourselves, and others in order to get the help that is needed. I have journeyed down the hard road before finding the better way. Today, I’d like to invite you into that better way which begins with vulnerability.
I understand this is a hard ask. It’s not easy to let down your guard, especially if you’ve been hurt in the past. It’s not easy to trust the hand of help that’s being held out for you, but it is necessary to take steps towards healing and help. At Align Pregnancy Services, our desire is to walk with you through some of the challenges of life. Whether you are experiencing an unintended pregnancy and need to know your options, are struggling with a past abortion and need healing, are pregnant with your first or fourth child and need material support, or are desperate for tools to help raise your children, we are here for you. We have trained staff and advocates who are extending their hand of love and care to you. Maybe it’s time to let go of past hurts, fear, and shame and grab the hand of those who desire to help you find a better way. I want to invite you to be honest and vulnerable about where you’re at and where you want to be and allow God to write a different story for 2024 and beyond! The question is, will you accept the invitation?
